Being that I have a premier my opinion is totally opposite. The premier rides great in rough water, not sure what he was talking about there. I have used mine in some hideous stuff and it does well. I don't think it rides as well as the manitou did but not far from it.
I would have a hard time believing it takes chop as good as your Premier or any decent tri-toon for that matter. The hull just does not seem to allow for that.
