Hoping that the estimates posted here are VERY rough as they seem way high to me. I just had a large tree removed that we were worried would fall on our parking area. Bucket truck and lots of careful dropping of the higher limbs. About half of what is being quoted here. And yes, fully bonded, insured, and a reputable firm.
A lot of factors enter into price. In our case, tree was right next to the road, with easy access. We did it in the off-season when work is slow, etc.
But I worry that if people think that the quotes here are "reasonable", then prices will escalate quickly.
