Lowe's and Home Depot "used to" have an small area in every store that contained dozens of various sizes (and colors) of ready to go formica countertops.
The popularity of granite and other types of countertops has clearly reduced the demand of formica.
Last I checked they still do offer these, but the displays have been greatly reduced. I think the widest width available on the shelves is 24". The lengths do vary.
