I'm surprised at these numbers. With me and my kiddos, 1/2 tank of gas, bimini closed, and smooth water (AM), I can hit 42 on my 20' tritoon with 150hp Mercury.
Though isn't there a formula that says a major increase in speed requires a doubling of horsepower or something?
