Just a note that these are from Burton Rowing fame, not Burton Snowboards.

I have to agree with Maxum on this one. I just don't understand the point; the original idea was to use wind and rollers on the ocean to propel you around to different areas. Using them on lakes and rivers seems pointless. You can't carry anything with you, so use as a mode a travel or transport seems limited.

I see these going the way of Wind Surfing Boards, everyone wanted to say they had one, but nobody ever really learned how to use them and now you can buy ones that have been sitting under someones cottage for years on the cheap.

I can see the use as a part of a workout, being that your core would be engaged the entire time, but the pace most often observed is quite a stretch from workout level.
