I don't think their (F&G) approach is unreasonable at all. They are scientists that deal in facts. Until one is legitimately seen or captured and physical proof is submitted why would they believe it. Show them a dead one found a road, or a kill scene from one that someone finds with identifiable proof and then they have something to work with. As I said before there are thousands of trail cams out there in the wood and thousands of hunters that invade the woods each fall and spring and no one has great proof.
