Thumbs up A "Snake" Here Would Be The "Common Water Snake"—and Harmless...

I haven't seen a snake in Lake Winnipesaukee, but in 1960s Winter Harbor, I've pulled off a leech. So, for Winter Harbor, there's a statement to be made for "good water"—at least it was in the 1960s.

Because, according to esteemed forum member Shore Things, leeches in 2009 are a good sign:
