When you pass by Rattlesnake Island it looks like there is so much ledge it would be hard to get a 4 bedroom septic system installed that would pass. I hope that you can get there.
I had a friend that owned an island on Winnipesaukee and there was no way to put a septic system in that would pass an inspection. He ended up putting in a 1,000 gallon underground holding tank and had to have it pumped whenever it go close to full. It always seemed like a pain in the neck but he loved his island home.
