Default Moultonborough tennis!

Took a look-see today at the four Moultonborough tennis courts, and sure enough, all four courts are ready to play, with the nets in place, and the courts all free of snow, and very clean. So, big hurrah for the Town of Moultonborough for getting it done. No doubt, the pickleball box and all the benches will soon show up.

Much to my surprise, there was someone there hitting up against the tennis hitting backboard ..... which is actually a very good way to practice for tennis or pickleball.

My favorite hitting backboard is built using 4x8' sheets of plywood, painted green with a white line to replicate the tennis net, and about 12'-high x 24'-wide.

If your town courts have no hitting backboard, and you wonder why the courts do not seem to get much use ...... then, your town definitely needs to build a hitting backboard. And, if they really want to get fancy, it could be built with a 10-degree backwards lean, so's the tennis balls will bounce back with a more upward arc.

When you can't find a partner, the hitting wall will do the trick ...... plus, it is always there ..... and sometimes leads to a practice game with a new person!
