Last time I was at the Colonial was on an August Thursday in 1964, a Camp Alton yellow school bus ride from Clay Point, Lake Winnipesaukee to Laconia to see 'It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World' with Edie Adams and Jonathan Winters.

After the movie, stopped into the nearby JJ Newbury's lunch counter to stuff my face with one of their excellent hot fudge sundaes ...... was probably August 6, 1964 at about 3-pm ..... can still smell the hot fudge! ....
