Default Broken Glasses and other Junk

I've seen all kind of junk underwater through the years in the lake. Old cars, small appliances silverware, dishes etc. Back in the days before EPA the lake was like a dumping ground. Many shorefront owners have taken it upon themselves to clean debris they find in front of the property. My grandfather filled an old refrigerator with cement and use that as a mooring anchor back in the 30's. We tried to remove it but it was too heavy and we left it and use it for mooring.

Once we had someone cut his feet from glass in the lake, and that was at the sandbar in Paugus Bay in front of Union Ave. cemetery. We wear water shoes since. Many folks did pick up a fish hook or two when we walk in the water. Because of rust we have a doctor look at the cut.

When diving, I always bring a knife. I occasionally get tangled in fishing lines.
