Perhaps think the area (approximate) rte 93>101>95>state line. Small towns often are k-8 with HS's region (Sanborn Regional in Kingston for example).
Relatively cheap bus service to Logan, no parking woes / exorbitant fees.
Many things to consider with a move like this.

Alton has a great tax rate, but doesn't fit the distance to Logan. Personally, I am looking to move to Alton from Dover. We spend so much time in the lakes region it just makes sense, plus its 35-40 minutes to Dover where we both work and the kids attend school (private). The problem is there is nothing on the market these days.
