One other point: If you have a few days in one spot, you can rent a Porsche! The rental is very reasonable (considering) and insurance is included.
And they'll deliver it to your door.
Ferraris can also be rented, but my natural inclinations towards driving Porsches and the added expense of Ferrari (while not too bad) put me in the Porsche.
Not sure what the speed limits are today on the
Autostrada.
