Lots of info in various boating magazines over the last couple of years. In addition to fuel economy, better "grab" when maneuvering may be important on some types of (commercial?) boats. By the time I get these, and then another time to ding one, I'll be able to go to the library and make a replacement on their 3-D printer.

By eliminating or significantly reducing cavitation noise, the Sharrow and related technology is very important to some markets e.g. nuclear submarines.
