Safety is 2nd this year. That is what was the topic of conversation at a local watering hole yesterday near Winnisquam. Many locals, and they were ice fisherman, feel that as mentioned above the benefits of the dollar are out weighing concerns over the safety of those coming into the area and all agreed that having the derby is a bad idea.
