Ive seen services use a can of wet cat food in a have a heart trap that they wrap with a plastic tarp or a really thick burlap tarp. they wrap the trap before setting it to protect from spray at catch time and release time, and if they spray they just throw out the material and hose down the trap

I was told the wet cat food is best cause it really only attracts the skunks and not the raccoons
