You are getting at the center of the discussion here. A boat can be traveling at 60 mph and still be safe and prudent, yet next year, and for two years after that, it will be illlegal to do so - therefore, not prudent. If you love safe speed and yet respect the law, you have to worry.

The discussion point is; can 60 MPH be safe and prudent? It sure seemed that way this morning.
