Ordered iPhone 12 Pro yesterday And trying to convince my wife she needs ones too.
You might consider an Apple Watch for your wife. It can be paired with an iPhone for voice, text, location, etc. It also has a heart monitor. I do not have one yet, but I am thinking about getting one for my mother. I got her an iPhone a few years ago for safety/connectedness, but this looks better for the purpose.
