Just the opposite
In the private sector, profit-motive dictate that Sr Management and those that have been on board for years take the fall. They transfer the responisibility to those who make less money.
Bottom line. There is less money to spend. Business suffers. Tax base suffers. The public sector actually lay off more than they should because they have to budget the money for the higher paid employees.
