Ice Out Watch
Seriously, as I checked out the many webcams on the lake today I thought to myself, "What is better than this?" Every year during this time of year it becomes an obsession for me. I am sure there are many here like me. I can't go a day without checking every single webcam for some sign, some movement, some change in the ice. Maybe it's because my house is on an Island or maybe not but I love the anticipation of Ice-Out. I love the fact that we have this transition of seasons. I'm not sure if I would have the same appreciation for the lake if Winnipesaukee was in Florida or something and did not freeze over in the winter. Just when I get, dare I say, bored of the lake at the end of the boating season the anticipation starts back up again in the spring and gets me all excited for another boating season.
Pretty cool.
