As for the donuts, we don't miss that at all. We weren't the type to go into the bay to pick up breakfast, but did once in a while. After we got a batch of moldy donuts, well, that sort of did it for us.

So, I can't say we miss the donut place.

To this day, I miss the old McGrath's store. I can still picture it and the new one very clearly in my mind. When I was little, my favorite annual event was going into McGrath's to pick out a cedar box with Alton Bay, NH, embossed on the cover. I still have a few of those things and my mom found a few and gave them to my boys. I miss that old place.
