A 1845 pink Victorian on Union Avenue was saved from demolition by an agreement announced yesterday between community leaders and developers of a new Dunkin' Donuts.
Several months ago the company announced plans to buy the 1.6 acre site across the street from the current Dunkin' Donuts in the Lakeport section of the city. It calls for construction of a new doughnut shop on the same site but in an area where there is currently a parking lot between the historic structure and Trustworthy Hardware.
