[Island Girl]

Well, I never thought I was going to be making the rounds for lobster rolls this year but that is what I have inadvertently done because all of you keep talking about them.

Today, my sister and I along with Don Hughes and his lovely wife Peg ventured to Waldo Peppers for lunch. I had been prepared to get a cold lobster roll until Rattlesnake Gal whet my appetite for the Hot Buttered one.

Our order was taken by a friendly person who described both rolls for us, making the choice even more difficult..... so I got one of each; one to eat and one to share.

Once Don identified our group to Pepper we got a wonderful greeting from her and she sat with us for a while (we were in the pre-lunch time group). We had a wonderful time with her.

The three lobster eaters in the group were unanimous that both were out of this world. Having had the lobster roll in two other famous eateries in the area I can attest that Waldo Peppers is the best. the lobster was sweet and succulent. The roll was toasted in some way that was better that your average hot dog roll. There was just a touch of lettuce and lots and lots of chunks of meat. The hot buttered roll had melted butter all over it (not too much, not too little) mmmmmm.

Now that I am back out here on the island I wish I had gotten a couple to go for later.
