Does he have any type of a kennel name? That may not be the correct term (it's too late for me to call my mom, who is a Shih-tzu breeder, for the answer). Anyway, part of my my 9-year old Shih-tzu's registered name is "Bear To Remember" which evolved into calling him Remmy*, and Rem-Dog* as a nickname. His name fits his personality, and you definitely have to keep personality in mind when naming a pooch -- sometimes the doggy will end up "naming himself", so to speak, lol!

*These names had, and have, absolutely NOTHING to do with Jerry Remmy or the Red Sox, Rem has been Rem since before any of that happened. I'm thinking I should have TM'd the name "Rem-Dog" years back, lol!
