In my earlier years I can remember cobble stone roads (no not Roman... I grew-up in Lowell Mass. ![Big Grin](https://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif) ) but have never seen cobble stone "sidewalks".
I should have noted in the previous post that the cobble stones are ground level, not elevated, as might be expected in ornamental inner circle, as opposed to a functional inner circle!
