Mrs ToW and I used to fish in the derby each spring. Then a couple years ago they went from 3 check stations to one.

The only Check station is at the Wears. We always used the one in Wolf...

Because of that change we don't fish the derby any more.

The main reason is that from where we fish we have two choices if we want to check a fish in:

1: Pull the boat out at Wolf... and drive around the lake to the Wears or,

2: Motor from the Wolf... area all they way to the Wears and back.

Neither choice is acceptable with the time and cost of fuel to do it.

So, until they reopen the Wolf... station we will not fish the derby.

It used to be fun.
