When I first started having it shipped to NH, the order contained a "sales tax". I phoned Cameron Hughes and asked what was going on, as NH does not have a sales tax. They indicated that although NH does not have a sales tax, the state does impose an 8% mark-up fee to the shipper, (CH, in this case), for wine shipped directly to the customer. CH passes that on to the customer and it shows up on their order system as a "sales tax".

This exact same fee exactly as described, was charged to me last year when I purchased a few bottles of wine from a winery in California.
