Some lunch indeed! The same lunch last year would have cost only $111.75

Everybody remember to fill up your tank on Tuesday the 18th, though.

The UAE (United Arab Emirates), with Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar are, at least, not unfriendly. The
real culprit is OPEC.
In today's
Boston Herald, gasoline is at 9¢ a gallon in Caracas, Venezuela -- an OPEC signatory.
Quotes from the article:
"Venezuela, the world's fifth-largest petroleum exporter and the source of about 15 percent of US oil imports, traditionally has supplied its citizens with cheap gasoline."
"While the arrangement has drivers of gas guzzling vehicles thrilled, the highly subsidized fuel is creating an increasing drain on the nation's economy, feeding huge traffic jams and poisoning the cities' air."

Look on the bright side: each 30¢ per gallon of gasoline funds Education.
