Fact not Opinion
1) Democrats and Republicans both use their own influence to get what they want incorporated into bills all the time. If both sides did not agree to the "pork" that is added by both sides, we would literally never get anything done/passed in this country. Lets leave politics out of this, we are trying to solve a pandemic, we are all human.
2) To put the economy in front of someone living or dying is reckless and irresponsible at best. If we eliminate the virus, the economy will come back. We have ALL lost money in the last month irregardless of age/creed/etc. However if the government wants to shut everything down, they do need to help those out who cannot earn a living.
3) The virus lasts 14 days (as far as we know right now). Shut EVERYTHING down for 15 days and the virus dies. The health care system and supply chain can catch up and the economy naturally follows. People trust that there are no or very few cases out there, so they will buy and shop and get back to daily life, thus jumpstarting the economy.
4) Whether or not you believe in social distancing, it works. It may be a corny term, but you stay 6-ft away from me, and I do the same to you and we are good. Unfortunately people cannot do this, or are not conscious enough to do this, which is part of the problem. We could all go back to work and live our daily lives if everyone could do this properly, but they cant. I am amazed by people at gas stations and grocery stores who are still not wearing gloves or sanitizing the grocery cart. Are you nuts? Thats how this thing spreads. A gas pump handle is a petri dish for bacteria.
5) I could go on and on, but back to work. Anyone who doesn't believe any of this should consult a health care worker on the front lines and ask them how they feel, or ask someone with a MD, PHD, MS after their name. They know what they are talking about.
