Since you sold the tow vehicle could it be assumed that you have a trailer for your boat?

Things to think about:

If someone who is not regularly in the business does it for you make sure that their insurance company knows and will cover any commercial operation of their vehicle.

If someone does it for free make sure to agree on coverage should there be an incident or damage requiring coverage.

If you have your boat moved by an amateur make sure your boat insurance company understands and find out in advance what the coverage conditions will be.

There are a lot of potential ways it could go very wrong if you do not use someone in the boat moving business.
