I went on the Mt Washington dinner cruise for the first time Friday night and as we were passing Governors Island a house flashed it's lights and the captain blew the horn. I think these guys respond when they see someone looking out for them. I just think in this case they aren't seeing this little boy.
Hopefully they get the message and are looking out for him now.
