I only listed restaurants that are easy to reach by boat and have docking. I have a 28' boat. Sunday night through Friday night are easiest due to less boating traffic of course. Ames Farms you can call ahead and ask which docks are reserved for those dinning via boat.
We find that lunch on a Saturday in Alton Bay at Shibley's seems to be less crowded than most of the other options, probably because its location.
Also, sometimes it's best to order "take out", and just pull up to a dock, have someone jump out to go get the food and bring it back to the boat. Some of our best meals have been anchored after getting "take out".
