Hand Thrown may be a mis-statement. If one expects an anchor to "Catch"...it is NOT Thrown. It is
Lowered over the bow or stern vertically and allowed to "take" by either backing down under power..
gently..or pulling forward
gently.
Just saying.. Almost 50 years doing this..mostly in Salt Water.
