Got this from this weeks Granite State News:

Wolfeboro will celebrate the comeback of Fisherville Saturday, March 5, with the Inaugural Fisherville Brew and Chew and the Wolfeboro Fishing Derby. “Though Mother Nature has not been on our side this year, it’s not going to stop us from having a good time and showing off our bob houses,” said Lucy Van Cleve, chairman of the Wolfeboro Fisherville Committee. Bob houses will be on display Saturday starting at noon in the Dockside parking lot next to the Wolfeboro Town Docks. Those participating include Black’s Country Store, Cottage Surroundings, Dive Winnipesaukee, Goodhue and Hawkins Navy Yard, Hole in the Wall, Nolan’s Brick Oven Bistro, Straw Cellar Fudge and Gifts, Wolfe’s Tavern, and the Wolfeboro Trolley Company. Dating back to 1888, Fisherville, a community of small shacks called bob houses, ice-houses or shanties, traditionally appeared on Wolfeboro Bay in December or January as soon as the ice was deemed “safe” (thick enough) to ice-fish.
