No way freah pasta can come from Italy. It would not be fresh when it gets to Laconia. In addition, the great lemon sorbet in a real lemon cups is served all over the North End of Boston. They are readily available on-line as well. I doubt they come from Italy. What is available locally is great!
That said, fresh pasta is the way to go. The fresher the better, so saying it comes from Italy is a negative in my opinion.
The deserts served in real fruit casings are also wonderful, even though they are available locally.
No idea where the wait staff gets their info, but home made pasta and these filled frozen deserts are well worth going to Favo.
Sounds like a staff training opportunity to me.
