Personally these units are not really meant to be year around residences I know... but that is how they advertise them....

they are not, just Like I am not in Laconia. We have to pay full taxes, even though we are only "Allowed" certain town benefits. Of which I know of only one which is curb side pick up for trash on Tuesdays but we are not allowed to leave out on Sunday night, nor would I, so my association has a dumpster that we have to pay separately for.
So the only benefits I see is that I get to drive on the roads, police and fire. Which are afforded to all regards of paying taxes or not.
Another one I am not allowed is a resident fishing license even though I am a property owner.
