Ya know the FL-3 flasher is still out there flashing away, at the south end of Bear Isl and next to Horse Isl....along with another flasher buoy out closer to Mark Island....something to do with the Mount Washington's halloween cruise or something or other or whatever....dunno?

Ya know if you watch that FL-3 flasher closely .....what it's doing is transmitting a secret weather data, morse code message back to those aliens on the planet Mars who use Bear Island as a test lab for the white tail deer living outside there without a heat source in January and February ........ who knew .... how do the deer do it to stay warm enuf outside all winter long ... brrrrr! The aliens from Mars just figure that if the deer can make it through the long cold winter out on Bear Island then they will be good to go back home on Mars too .... go figure ....now that all makes good sense!
