Lady Di, believe it or not, there are loons in Paugus Bay, and on quiet evenings you can actually hear them calling. By the time you get here the area will be considerably quieter than now, and with any luck you will be able to hear them from your patio at Birchknoll. My sister-in-law lives very near there and hears them often in the spring, and after Labor Day.
