I, and a few other
Ice Boaters used to come up to Wolfeboro in the very early 70s. We stayed at Mrs. Hornes (Sp) on South Main Street. It was an old victorian house on the east side of the street. The house was maintained as a "Bed..No breakfast"...The house was impecable. The price for a nights stay was $3.50..+25 cents.. "for the governor".
This was the first time I ever experienced
15 below zero...leaving the house at 6:00 am...on our way to breakfast. The hairs in my nose actually froze. Does anyone remember this house..??
