Danoff and his wife "Taffy" Nivert were both members of The Starland Vocal Band when they wrote "Afternoon Delight" in the mid 70's. I was a kid and the song still reminds me of vacations at The Red Jacket. WRKO, with Dale Dormon, played the song a lot the summer of 76'!
Although the lyrics meant an afternoon at the pool, Story Land and Santa's Village for me, it had a totally different meaning for my parents!!
I block that part of the memories out!!!
