I think the prices are good in general. I looked long and hard at the Sylvan 8522-4PT for an island boat. I would have bought the one at Parker however I wanted more HP and preferred a tritoon. It has full vinyl and a full camper top which would have been great for us but was lacking a few things we wanted. It wasnt worth special ordering, for lead time and pricing. I feel that for the money spent Premier was much better.

Their claim to fame these days is the RPT tubes, however I have seen a lot of mixed reviews on them. Lots of leaks and not the best solutions for repair. I dont know if they solved it for this new model year, but on boats built in the last few years I would shy away from RPT equipped boats. I have not heard of any issues on round tube boats.

For not much more money if any, I would go Premier over Sylvan.
