You paid $53.50 to be exact. I have been registering boats for many years, working on and off at a marina on the Big Lake. I can tell you that until the increase a few seasons ago, the cost to register a boat in NH stayed stagnant for a looooong time. Perhaps the state would have been better served upping it a little here and there over that time rather than go up all at once. My understanding is that the current fees are comparable to our neighbors and IMO reasonable given the fun factor.
