In order to order the food for the Carnival, the order had to be in by today. Not knowing how conditions will be with the ice and ice/snow, especially with some rain or rain showers that are forecasted for Friday, made it a tough decision to order and perhaps not be able to use it.
Bottom line, although it may have seemed a little presumptive to cancel at this time, it may end up being a good decision. Regardless, I am sure there are those who would disagree.
