Thanks for the welcome and the recommendation. I'm thinking I should start a real estate thread.
We're not really interested in developments and gate communities. We live on the Jersey shore in a very dense area, beautiful, historical, but no space. We're hoping to find a house with acreage. (at least one acre or more with privacy) We're also looking for house that have some "character". It seems like everything that was built in 2000 and beyond (in our price range) has absolutely no character. Square, boring houses...oh but they have stainless steel appliance and granite counter tops--zzzzzzzzzz.
