Excellent post -- thanks for the GSM update. I received an e-mail from Cingular today announcing the "new" company. No specifics re: enhanced GSM coverage, but I wouldn't doubt that it'll remain right where it is for the foreseeable future (that is, until a Cingular executive vacations on the eastern side of the Lake and realizes that he can't get a GSM signal).

So it goes. Guess I should stop complaining since I made the decision to jump from CDMA to GSM. The CDMA service from both Cingular and Verizon worked like a charm around the region.
