Agreed Jason, even though that Formula measures as a 27, the hull really is not as long as it appears with the boat sitting in the water when you look at the image posted by the OP.

Not really. Drive trim up decreases the wetted hull area. Trim tabs can be used to level your boat due to unbalanced weight port to starboard or can be used to let your boat's deeper V toward the bow...
