Italian

Our favorite when we're up there is Fratello's. We'll be sure to try Rossi's next time. We went to the Italian Farmhouse in Plymouth years ago. Is it still open?

Surprised at the criticism of FLL. I've always found him very entertaining. Hang in there, pal!

Loons

My daughter saw a loon chick and its mom while kayaking on White Oak Pond last week. We saw loons and heard loon calls every day, more than in previous years.

Even though we only get up there for one week in the summer, I still check the Forum almost every day. Particularly like the old photos, old postcards, the history/nostalgia stuff. Thank you!

Postcard

Penny postcard from 1944 addressed to a Meredith resident. On ebay. Just on the off chance that somebody up there might remember this man.

Ike's visit apparently took place a year and a half before the '56 election. I'm wondering what the occasion of the visit was. I don't think they started campaigning that early back in the '50s. ...

I'm a big fan of Eisenhower. Could you tell me if these photos are from the '52 or '56 campaign, or some other event? Great photos!

I think FLL paints a pretty good picture with his words. Seems to me his hobby is life, not photography.

I travel this intersection a lot on vacation. I would be interested to know how the Powers-That-Be justify this change. Or maybe they don't have to justify it; maybe it's just a matter of spreading...

The Game

I'm with RESIDENT 2B. The Patriots are the home team now. When I was a kid, the Giants were the home team. Hoping for a close, exciting game. Nothing worse than a SuperBowl blowout.
