Be safe out there!

The lake surface covered with ice does not mean it is all safe. With snow coming in the next few days, it will be increasingly difficult to tell safe areas from not safe.

Shutting off after each use

Do you shut off gas after each use? Valve at tank or grill? How far is tank from your grill location? Just curious. I only have a 120 gal tank, but I'm guessing the principle is the same.

Alton problem

The Alton problem was that they did not go to the town to get a permit to use the docks. No guarantee that it should have been granted, but without one, use of the docks was denied.

Heard two names

I've heard it called two different names.

1. Just like Wolfeboro, called "Back Bay", and
2. Called Rand Cove

So I've been told, the hill just behind the bay and campground is Rand Hill. ...

Parker Marine is on the Merrymeeting River at its confluence with the Lake. The river flows into the lake under the route 11 bridge.

We came over the bypass heading to Alton from Tilton, and there were snowmobile tracks on the ice, running in an oval like a race track. Also 3 people ice fishing near the road.
