Do you have a washing machine drain in the basement? If you do you can always pump the condensate into the drain. The person is correct about the winter months.

TAKE THE THERMOSTAT OFF THE WALL. iF THE UNIT STOPS THEN THE PROBLEM IS THE THERMOSTAT. iF IT CONTINUES TO RUN. mAY BE A SHORT IN THE WIRE OR , GAS VALVE OR RELAY.

On Demand Water Heater
