Ha! OOPS. I erred big time on the side of the safety. So did nearly everyone else. Donzi guy was okay then. Ski boat was still not. That was too close - especially towing a ten year old who...

Follow up from OP
I very much enjoyed my week on the Winni. Had the boat out 4 days with no real issue. I stayed clear of other boats where possible, even if I was the stand-on vessel.
A yellow Donzi passed me...

Follow-up
We had a great time on the lake. The public ramp across from the old train station in Wolfeboro was great - not super steep for the tow vehicle, but much steeper underwater. The trailer just fell...

This is the first I've heard of box anchors! I watched a few YouTube videos and I'm sold! Especially the folding ones - my boat has very little storage. But at $130 for the smallest size, I will...

I've seen those Richter anchors and I bet they work great on rocks. But I'm certain that would poke right through my hull if mis-handled. Or I pole vault the trailer off one of these pot holes we...

Any preference? Any stations to avoid? Trailer sailer with a 1990 70HP 2 stroke Yamaha. Runs fine on pump gas with Sta-Bil and Star-Tron added, but if the locals all get good results from one...

Anchor choice?
I have a 16' aluminum boat. Weighs under 1000# but with a high freeboard, windshield, and Bimini it does have some windage.
My anchor collection consists of:
1. Big Danforth. 10-12#? Was off...

Found it! It's not a card, but an 8x10 certificate suitable for framing. It's issued by the USCG Auxiliary so (per Woody38's post above) I should be good! I already registered for the online MD...

I'll keep looking for it. My boat is more than 25HP and you have my scared I'm an "easy mark" with out of state stickers. PA will send me a new card for $5 but it will take 30-40 days - too long!...

Hi, any local knowledge on ramp condition? We're staying in downtown Wolfeboro and will be launching a 16' aluminum boat with a FWD minivan. It's not a real heavy setup but I usually use an AWD...

I see them on Google Maps, thanks to your description. The shadow of the trees obscures them. But really, from that lot I'm another 900 feet to the cottage. If the lot is full I'll just put it back...
